The Purpose of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association
The goals of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association include advancing the knowledge and understanding of the legal system to the community, upholding the ethics and dignity of the legal profession, promoting public welfare and safety, and training members in all aspects of advocacy.
The Polk County Trial Lawyers Association also strives to encourage mutual support among members of the legal profession, advance the philosophy of law, and promote justice for the good of the community.
About Kevin Humphries, Attorney at Law
Attorney Kevin Humphries previously served as a felony prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office of the 10th Judicial Circuit. In addition to his work as a trial lawyer, Mr. Humphries has served as an adjunct professor of law at his alma mater, Stetson University College of Law.
Active throughout the legal community, Mr. Humphries was previously elected president of the Lakeland Bar Association for 2016-2017, Chairperson of the Grievance Committee of the 10th Judicial Circuit, a teen court judge, and president of the Polk County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Attorney Humphries is also an active member of the National Trial Lawyers Association and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and is on the board of directors for the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
